Jayme wrote to me a bit ago asking about a mommy and me session for her and her daughter Sophie and I couldn’t wait to jump into it. It’s a funny thing when you start shooting how and what you want to shoot and clients trust your vision. Jayme and Sophia showed up ready to the shoot, while Sophie had her nap and blueberries and Jayme was dressed to perfection. We sat and talked and let Sophie eat her blueberries and get content with me around and then we went on with everything, taking breaks here and there to let Sophie get acquainted with me and the surroundings.
One thing I think you’ll realize while paying attention to my style is that I edit and shoot based on the mood and the clothing. I shot with my heart and my soul. It’s one of the main reasons that I typically begin editing the night of the shoot (if I can manage without falling asleep!) because I like the mood I shot in to come through in my editing. Just paying attention to a few shoots ago you will notice many differences that me the photographer I am and the photographer you come to. 🙂
