Is there anything better than a patriotic watermelon session? YUP, a patriotic watermelon mini session with friends, duh!! Two years ago we captured memories very similar to these but with a lot littler babes. OH and we even added a new babe! I KNOW! I just about died over the cuteness of them and this whole scene. Go ahead, swoon. I know I did!! Don’t fall over now, okay? These kids are seriously the cutest!
During this shoot, my son asked me what the flag means. It was one of those moments as a parent where you felt honored to explain something so important to him. “It stands for freedom and bravery.” He looked down at the flag and said “oh, yeah.” Then proceeded to wave it in the air. He may not understand yet, but he will. He will understand the sacrifice, love and honor that stands behind it. Happy fourth of July. <3
